Delhi News : Due to incessant rains in Delhi, normal life was badly affected. Roads were submerged in many areas from Connaught Palace to Minto Road. Due to this, the situation of jam appeared on the roads.

Severe water-logging was observed in Delhi’s Rabindra Nagar area following incessant rains in the city. Waterlogging was seen on the roads in many areas including Connaught Palace, Akbar Road.

Several commuters were inconvenienced due to morning rain in the national capital. They faced difficulties in reaching their destination. The IMD has predicted a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain during the day.

The IMD said the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, while the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 30 degrees Celsius. According to the department, the relative humidity in the city was recorded at 96 per cent.

Warning of extremely heavy rain in Himachal: The Meteorological Office in Shimla has issued a ‘red’ alert for 7 districts of Himachal Pradesh, warning of extremely heavy rains on July 8-9. A ‘red’ alert for extremely heavy rainfall indicates a chance of more than 204 mm of rain in a day.

In a statement, the Meteorological Department said that under the influence of an active Western Disturbance, extremely heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Una, Hamirpur and Bilaspur districts on July 8-9. Issuing ‘Orange’ alert for Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Lahaul and Spiti, it has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall.
