Poland and Hungary block a European migration agreement

  • The other 25 can advance alone in the distribution of refugees but the migration policy continues without a consensus

The 27 failed to close an agreement this Friday to definitively validate the migratory pact in its refugee distribution section. The ministers had approved it by majority with several abstentions and the contrary vote of Poles and Hungarians. And at this summit they were left alone against the other 25 heads of State or Government. Given the blockade, the migration part was not approved in the conclusions of the summit and the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, published it as a statement.
